I appreciate living in the Bay Area, and appreciate the other people who live here to. Life has been good to me, but there’s one thing missing -- someone with whom to share this good life together.

I'm a pilot who spends about half my month in the Washington DC or Orlando area and half in NYC. I'm (unhappily) married/half separated and have a 5 year old daughter who is the proverbial apple of my eye. She has graced me by teaching me the definition of love. You wanted an honest guy, right? My living situation will be changing in the next 6 months or so as certain financial and job related events are completed. Aaaaaaanyhow...I start each day with a vegan mind set but as soon as I add the chocolate flavoring for my coffee I add a dash of dairy and there goes that. I prefer soy or rice products to milk and dairy, and I haven't eaten anything that had lungs in, oh, ten years ish. I will fall back on fish/seafood. I do love to cook. I am a sexist. Chivalry is NOT dead. I freely admit it and I like it. I WILL open the door for you, buy you a flower or two, and pay for dinner. I have many sides, including my darqsyde, but lets leave something to email and talk about, shall we? Besides, I'm outa room.

I am in the midst of divorcing. We were a mismatch. I loved dogs. She did not. I desired vegan meals. She cooked only meat and dairy meals. I have a good heart and care about people and animals. I have a good sense of humor and try to find humor and goodness in everything. I am mostly vegan at this point, although I do occasionally have meat and dairy -- just not often. I am interested in evolving into a healthier person in every aspect (mind, body, soul). Over the last 1-1/2 years, I've lost 40 pounds (10 since the photo was taken). I recently attended a raw food class and a Tibetan Buddhist meditation class. Both classes were inspiring. I like most kinds of music and movies including indie and foreign flicks. I like taking walks, going to the shore, traveling, and trying new things, cuddling at home, deep conversations,going to sporting events and concerts, and more.

I've been more or less vegan for about 15 years. I keep physically and culturally fit through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities -- movies, hiking, boating, travel, tennis, reading. My radio is tuned to NPR, and "Sierra Club" describes my political priorities. The TV gets little use. In the past few years, I've rekindled an interest in animals. Actually, I teach dog training classes on the weekends, and work with other animals individually. It's gratifying to help people and animals strengthen their connections. We have a lot of fun in the process.

I have been a vegetarian (no meat) for nearly 14 years now, have not eaten fish for over 11 years, and basically vegan for over 6. I have always been compassionate about animals, so I suppose this was the next logical step. Related to my eating habits, I am not the kind of person who pushes my views on others unless they begin to probe and want to debate. In other words, I am not very active in promoting my beliefs, but I would not mind getting more involved. Personally, I hold two university degrees and I work for a large financial institution (not in line with my fields of study though). I enjoy both staying at home and watching TV as well as going out with friends. I like most kinds of music and like going to concerts. I think I am pretty liberal and open-minded.
