This will be brief for now and I will update it later.

I like eto laugh and make other people laugh.  Although I have my serious, academic side, I am still the class clown and somewhat of a practical joker.  I like spending time outdoors, which is one of the reasons I moved from back east - from CT, via MA and PA.  I have been a long distance runner forever - I'm a former and perhaps future marathoner, an avid cycler, althoug I have never raced, and took up serious swimming about seven years ago.  I'm now at a point where i am getting ready to do a triathlon.

Lucky me has been living in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, for the last thrtee and half years, two long blocks to the ocean, where I do most of my running and cycling on the "bike path," and four short blocks to Alamitos Bay, where I do most of my swimming.  I recently went kayaking in the bay and it is a blast.

A few yeara ago I started to spend time in beautiful Costa Rico.  In addition to swimming in a magnificent bay, I also took up horseback riding.

I came to this country (Legally) 1968, my home country is Jamaica . I attended Jr. High to college(BS degree) in this country. Over the past year I've been through something of an evolution....I've recently become vegetarian after becoming horrified at a film called Earthling's... prior to this I had cut out meat, dairy and wheat to improve my health, been exploring raw foods... but it's difficult to find solid info on this path as there's a lot of misinformation out there.. I know what works for me and what doesn't and I seem to be at a happy medium at the minute

As I become more health concious I trying to pursue a lifestyle which can let me give as much as I take.. I guess the word balance could be used... I believe balance is important.. :)

I produce music and work on the internet... though lately I don't seem to do enough music.. trying to get my work to a point where I'm not needed so much... getting closer..

I love to be near nature, though I'm far too often inside working... I live in the countryside.. so I can just go out for a run in the fresh air when I feel the need.. I need this kind of freedom and am ever grateful for this...

I would describe myself as free spirited, smart, kind, down to earth, romantic and nurturing. I love to run, hike, cook healthy food and explore all the beautiful places around me (there's so much of that here!). Having lived most of my life in NY, i try not to take things here for granted, the beautiful mountains, hiking, beaches and great weather.

It comes natural to me to be a contributor to society and to the people around me; It's the way i was raised, having grown up in a large family with parents who give selflessly to their kids and to our community. I don't understand how someone can be happy living a mundane or self centered life without regard or care for other people or without depth, meaning, ambitions and goals.

Many times i feel like I'm a bit different than a lot of people around me (in a good way), especially people in LA and while I have many friends and acquaintances I don't feel that very many people "get" me but that's okay;) I also think a bit out of the box and don't feel the need to follow the latest trends. I enjoy staying in or with good company on Fri and Sat nights and prefer going out during the week or weekend afternoons when things are more low key. I'll never stand on line to get into some cool hip bar, I think that's so silly. I love being out for a run early morning or doing something productive early! When eating out, I usually prefer an ethnic, vegan or mom & pop type spot rather than a tourist trap that's loud & crowded.

I love making the most of everyday, even on vacation! I enjoy getting up early to explore, be outdoors and do things. Definitely enjoy kicking back and chilling as well, esp when in a relationship so I need someone who can be both adventurous, energetic and spontaneous but also romantic, nurturing and relaxed cuz I try to keep a good balance of both.

Always gona follow my dreams...life is short and can pass in a fleeting moment-don't live life dreaming and wishing u can do something else or live somewhere else, just go do it, or live it, before it's too late:):)

I was on here a number of years ago, and I decided to give this another try.  I started my vegetarian journey back in 1981, and I graduated to veganism about 15 years ago, all for ethical reasons, although benefiting health wise has become a huge plus too, not to mention saving the environment. I’m Jewish, although non-religious, but my main focus in life is for the animals. I love music -- always have -- live music is great, whether it be a concert or local bands where there is room to dance.  I also enjoy going out to dinner, movies, watching football, hanging in with a delicious drink in hand, socializing, entertaining, having fun and sleeping late!! And of course, hanging out with my three (now two) four-legged rescue dogs who have gotten me through lifes ups and downs.

Hi, I'm Nava. I've been a vegetarian for 24 years, and I think It's the best way to live. Animals have the same right to live and eating them is so wrong! I love animals. Most of them are so pure and innocent! I live in Israel, which is a beautiful place! I hosted a few tourists from the US and from Europe at my house for about a week. All of them fell in love with Israel and hated to go back to their countries. Israel is NOT a war zone! It's a great cool place!

Bursting into song is a daily occurance for me... at work I might coerce a patient into getting out of bed with a song or a really bad groaner of a joke.  At night I can sometimes be found singing in a community theater musical production, or out dancing to a live swing band. If you can't find me by listening for the song...listen for the laughing!

I have hilarious friends and coworkers, and we love to laugh! Other than that I have really diverse interests...yoga, pilates, hockey, BBQ's, the ocean /beach, playing outside as much as possible during the warm weather soaking up the sun, as well as the activities everyone likes; movies, quiet evenings in etc.

I also have world issues that I feel strongly about, and can be very serious and driven when I need to be. However, maintaining peace and balance in my life is of the utmost importance to me...being happy is a choice. Life is way too short not to do the things we enjoy and to be thankful for all of the wonderful things we have.

I have been a very dedicated teacher for three decades until I took my stand against Bavarian government ordering crucifixes in classrooms. I chose to swim against the stream and this refreshing activity led me back to Judaism. Endurance to succeed in this conflict I had trained in sports (soccer, volley, skydiving), hiking (long and short distance), bicycling (upright and recumbent) and enjoying nature. Reviewing the two dozen theatre plays I wrote and directed for my pupils and amateur group during twenty years, I can see my Jewish soul "emerging" slowly. All those plays are very lively, multi-cultural, often funny, ironic, fighting with chuzpah the mighty dragons, encouraging to ethnic and interreligious tolerance, and always spiced with good music (oriental, Rock, Reggae, Gypsy swing, classic, Musica Popular Brasileira, and, yes, we played the Blues Brothers!). Building the scenes I could make use of my woodcraft and painting skills.

Hello, I'm the author of a book on polygamy and communitarian ethics written from  a love for Natural Law and acoustic music, hoping I can find a woman to join me as my business partner, and travel companion, someone physically active and is otherwise healthy.

That being said a number of friends and my parents have become vegetarian, mostly for health reasons. My mother has reversed her heart disease through a vegetarian diet and other friends have lost weight and gained energy. I love being outdoors and am an avid walker and runner - 96 marathons - and enjoy bicycling skiing and rollerblading.
