I don't even know another vegetarian. I've been a vegetarian all my adult life. My degree is in Psychology, however, I read constantly and I'm interested in a broad range of subjects. My favorite artist is Pablo Picasso and I have many prints of his work. My favorite architect is Frank Lloyd Wright. I play my acoustic guitar most every day. I bicycle for exercise. I live on a lake with ducks and egrets and cranes. And even a Great Blue Heron once. Right now I'm listening to Roy Orbison and his voice is so incredible and powerful. I never watch sports (but I do watch some of the Olympics). I have seen an opera (Romeo and Juliet) but I refuse to go again. (Lets be clear about that). Otherwise, I might be interested in doing just about anything (I used to own a company that manufactured hang-gliders and I also ran a flight training school). I want to go to that restuarant in downtown Houston where there are no signs and you just knock on the door.

If it's not happening, we seek to find out why, asking sometimes-difficult questions of ourselves, as a team. When I was 15, I realized how many people were killing and eating so many animals, so I became a vegetarian. At 19, I realized how living upon any animal in any form was cruel, so I became a vegan. At 28 just before heading off to college in San Francisco, I realized that I could live on the fruits of the plants without harming the mother plant/tree/bush, so I became a fruitarian which was my first step to being humane. While in college, I met my ex-wife who was a lacto-vegetarian. I fell in love with her, so I decided to return to being a vegan if she would move up to a vegan. We stayed married for 20 years and had three beautiful vegan children. They are all gone now, as is my wife. At 48, I returned to being a fruitarian after my divorce. I was looking at the stars one night when I realized that each star is just another sun like ours. There are trillions of them. It dawned on me that the stars/suns are the power generators for life of the universes. So, I began my quest for direct sunlight on my 54th birthday.

What seems most workable to me is polyamory -- that is, not limiting relationships to one "belonging to" the other -- yet working things out with respect, honesty and integrity. I'll try to stay with the basics. If someone were to ask me to describe myself with one word, I'd say aware. Try my best to keep growing as an individual, to come from the heart but use common sense to navigate this crazy world. I've always felt a kinship with animals, have had them all my life. Participated in athletics throughout childhood and have run a couple of marathons as an adult as well as numerous other races. Having found that my vegetarian lifestyle was making it hard for me to succeed at dating, it finally dawned on me: I need to find me a vegetarian. So here I am! Spending time with my three grandchildren is very important to me. As a person, I think I am good-natured, and I like to think that I am considerate of others. I know the importance of giving. I am extremely healthy and plan on going RAW next year. I love all vegetarian food and juice a green drink every morning to start my day. If I eat any meat at all, it's chic/turkey and organic.
