Like a lot of people I'm a study in contrasts. I'm intelligent, but have had my share of stupid moments. I'm artsy, but certainly tempered by reason. I'm forgiving, but seek a responsibility in myself and others. I strive to find this balance in my life and I feel like I've made wonderful strides in this direction. Nonetheless, I'm the first to acknowledge how far I have to go. My compassion for our world, acceptance of others, and unfaltering optimism are my greatest allies.
I work as a therapist at a community mental health center and cram my spare time with freelance illustration, spending time with my family, and teaching yoga. I have an appreciation for odd and random humor. I love silly, goofy humor as long as it's not at the expense of others. I'm really into the local music scene (Boston) and I love going to shows and hearing new bands, the smaller the venue the better. I've been a vegetarian for about 12 years now, I've recently tried veganism, but I chose not to continue. However, It forced me to learn to cook healthier recipes, and many of the things I make and eat now are vegan. I highly recommend "vegan with a vengeance", every recipe is amazing. I love the smell of coconut, could live without chocolate (but not peanut butter!), I love Guinness and Sam Adams, ethnic foods and banana flavored anything...
