Hi! I'm not sure what to write here, but here goes. I am currently living in Tel Aviv studying photography and graphic design on a 5 month program (going home at the end of January). I've been vegan for about 9 months and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Being someone who's understanding of that would be great. I love to sing and dance and have been my whole life. After graduating from college, I moved to Argentina for a couple years, which was amazing. I then moved back home and started to work with my mom, building up our pet care company. Clearly, I love animals. I really miss being around them all the time while I'm here, but there's no lack of cats around the city. After Tel Aviv, I'm not quite sure what my next move is, but I would love to end up in a veggie and eco friendly city like Portland or Seattle. Everything's definitely up in the air.

I am originally from Maryland, but spent many years in Southern California. Since I moved back, I don't really miss LA (well maybe sometimes :)). My favorite beach town is Ocean City, MD (and that includes California beaches) and I spend my weekends there during the summer. I have the flexibility to move to another city, but my preference at this time is to stay within a few hours of this area (maybe I can be talked into moving somewhere else :)). I have to admit I’m a night person (not all night :)), and going out to a place with good music and dancing can get me going. But, I also like a cozy evening stayin in and watchin a movie with the right person. I am a former DJ (radio and clubs) and have a wide variety of musical tastes (yes I like hip hop and country too). I am also a strict vegetarian (almost vegan) because of ethical reasons involving treating animals with kindness... and I love dogs. I have found it hard to meet other ethical vegetarians that I am interested in dating, so maybe we will find each other on here :)

I've been veg since 1995 and vegan since 2000 -- mostly for animal rights reasons, but I'm also an environmentalist and believe in veganism's health benefits. I work as a Nurse Anesthetist at a local hospital 3-4 days a week (10-12 hour shifts), which leaves me with several free days. Volunteering at the animal shelter has become an important part of my life and I've become very involved with rescue of pit bull type dogs. In my free time I enjoy spending time at home with my dogs and cat, relaxing or getting stuff done around the house. When I can find the time I enjoy knitting. I love scuba diving, but I don't take dive trips often enough. I enjoy going out to veggie restaurants, but I'm also very content to stay home and watch TV, cuddled up on the couch with my pups. Loud bars and clubs have never been my scene. I'm very independent and comfortable being single, but I'd enjoy having someone to share my life with.

Wow, it's always hard to describe yourself! Been vegetarian for over 20 years and just went vegan this year. Spend my weekends most of the time running errands, going to acupuncture, and reading. Not crazy about crowds (had spinal cord surgery years ago which impacted my mobility, so negotiating crowds can be hard). I'm a vegan, a non-smoker, and a don't drink. I've been a vegetarian/vegan for 19 years (for ethical reasons). I have 3 cats who were not sought out but instead pushed their way into my life (each with a sob story to tell) and who I now love very much. In addition to trying to do what I can to help animals, I try to do the same for people. By day I am a social worker/therapist working at a school with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents. My interests are quite diverse (but I'm not much of a tv watcher) ...I enjoy quiet time at home, to playing video and board games, to going to a concert, to spending time outdoors, and travel (a trip to Africa is my favorite so far). Working with very active teenagers definitely keeps me energized and open to learning and trying new things. Right now I'd be happy if I could just get some skill on the basketball court! :)

I became a vegetarian 30 years ago, and a vegan about 10 years ago, all for ethical reasons, although benefiting health wise has become a huge plus too, not to mention saving the environment.
