Hallo! I am an almost-vegan/raw-foodist living in southern Indiana. I am a student (perpetual) and I LOVE babies! I am a Veggie primarily for health reasons, but am against cruelty to humans and animals. Now for some updated info on me: I became a full-time Veggie/Vegan in October 2003, and am an aspiring Raw-Foodist, hopefully within the next few years. Eager to join the ranks of the paranormal (we Veggies need to stick together), I do my part to spread the Meatless message wherever, much to the chagrin of staunch meat-eaters. No babies yet, but still hoping! Many factors have influenced me in deciding to go meatless and dairy-free, and I have learned that while ignorance is, perhaps, bliss, knowledge can be quite painful. Well, I was raised in a sitcom-like family - or so that was what my family was repeatedly told (we were compared to shows from the Simpsons to the Cosbys). As a result, I love to laugh. I can be very easygoing, but I don’t mind mixing things up with the religious maniacs that harass the hospitals and clinics that give women a choice. Hanging out with my nieces and nephews is one of my favorite things to do. I like to ride my bicycle to work, if it isn’t raining on way there (on the way back is fine), and if there isn’t too much ice on the road. . Though I don’t worship life (or anything else, I follow the moral values I find reasonable, not anybody or anything else’s) I believe that it is wrong to steal the life from any creature that could value it.

I also lived and worked closely with the Navajo people as this area is surrounded by most of the major US reservations. I am an artist and writer, and am presently the Executive Director of a non-profit organization. God is the center of my life as I try to maintain a close relationship with him. I am a vegetarian but I am not fanatical. I do not eat any meat but all of my friends are meat eaters. I'd like to do better with being involved in animal rights campaigns etc...but somehow as I've gotten older I've become more involved with children. I work in social work and I'm a foster parent. I've noticed myself slipping in my follow through with things that I would never have done 5 years ago..such as throwing away milk cartons instead of recycling them(or drinking soy milk instead of milk in the first place)I'm trying to take the time out to remind myself to act according to my beliefs.
