I'm vegan but I'd really like to explore a more raw vegan lifestyle. At this point it's 50/50. Aside from purely loving animals, I eat the way that I do for health purposes. I just moved to OH from NY in October. The cost of living in NY is out of control at least where I'm from. I have a 16yo son who decided to remain in NY w/his dad to finish out HS in the same district. I respect him and his decision. After working in tech support for a few years I had to revaluate my plans due to circumstances which I'm now gratetful for. I'm a full-time student at Akron studying Enviro Science w/a minor in Biology. I am very spiritual but with a scientific leaning. I believe in the interconnectivity of all things beyond an ecological perspective and I've had some incredible expereinces that have proven to me at least that consciouness is capable of anything. I enjoy meditation, prayer, exercise, biking, hiking, camping, photography, painting. Interests include art, history, music (ex The xx, Beck, Pantera, Tool, Johnny Cash, Sia, Deftones, Fink, so on and so forth) science, travel, cultures, cosmology, physics, animals, food... you get it

Hello there. :) I'm not your stereotypical bloke and I'm more than ok with that. I believe in equality and compromise, conversation and cooperation, respect and empathy. I've spent quite a bit of time over the years learning more about myself and admire self-awareness in others. I grew up in the States with a mix of cultural influences around me, which may well have helped me to develop into the open-minded person I am today. I laugh, smile, and joke a lot. :) I also tend to walk most places anymore (including a 5 mile hike to and from work each day) and find that it's a great space in which to decompress. I love music, but also appreciate quiet. I enjoy cosy pubs and the beer they serve. I cook and entertain and find both thoroughly satisfying. Autumn is my favourite season. Despite having lived in all kinds of places, Brighton really feels like home now because, among other things, it's a place where I can be myself and be accepted for it.

What do you want out of life? I find adventure happening all around me and in everything I do. Adventure is there, whether it is hiking, swimming, kayaking, exploring, traveling, running or even a physical training regiment such as CrossFit. It can also be found in the more mundane things of life too like learning, tutoring, volunteering, or giving of your talents for a charity event. Sometimes adventure can be an uneasy thing to achieve. While it is rarely difficult to get adventure, the uneasy thing is that sometimes work, school, situations, etc. can try to block it. My opinion is that these things can be incorporated into the adventure of life and so instead of seeing them as stumbling blocks I see them as stepping stones to the gateway of adventure. I am grateful that life is so awesome, interesting and that it constantly causes me to be intrigued into things bigger than myself. Do you want to journey with me and share in life's adventures? I started as a vegetarian around the age 5, much to the horror of my "normal" parents. Just felt like the thing I had to do when I discovered what meat was. I notice that many kids have that same moment.. where they question. I'm now what I'd call a reasonable vegan. I love warm night times. There's some magic in the quiet and stillness. I feel like wandering dark, wrought places, catching a passing breeze whose whispers always bring me recollections like droplets of dawn. Then, to hear the din of the city from afar, and pretend I'm not there. Perhaps become a ray of streeted light against a concrete canvas, or find some solace from lips pressings lips closing darkness sharing illusions of divinity for awhile. One of my favorite lines from a movie is, "for what it's worth, it's never too late to be who you want to be ... you can change or stay the same ... there's no rules to this thing [called life]."
