Hi, I'm Erin! I am 27 and work in sleep medicine. I will be starting graduate school for Clinical Psychology this fall. I am not quite sure where I'll be living come September, but hope to find out very soon. I have been a vegetarian since I was in junior high. I've never liked the taste or even idea of meat. I went vegan in 2009 and have never been happier about a decision. I'm a simple girl - I enjoy going out to eat, movies, staying in, etc with friends. I don't watch much television, but make a point to always catch Doctor Who and Dexter. I also have been helping to plant a church in a low-income area. My faith is important to me, but I love having friends of all backgrounds. I'd like to think I'm smart and funny. More than anything, I have a slightly sarcastic, dry sense of humor. I like to travel and love the Pacific Northwest (USA) - I would love to move there, or to Canada or Sweden one day. I have been macrobiotic for 4 years and vegetarian for 1 year. I don't drink coffee or eat any junk foods, eat in resturants, or eat snacks except fruit or soy milk sometimes. It's easy for me. I have good habits by now.

A little about myself...
I have an international focus. I spent part of my childhood growing up in Asia. I have traveled extensively in the developing world for college and church volunteering. I now work at an international non-profit and love it!
I became a vegan last year for the health benefits and out of curiosity after reading an interview with Kathy Freston. I have continued being vegan for ethical reasons including animal rights and the humanitarian aspect of the diet. (The grain we feed to cows to make our steaks could go to feeding starving people!) :) I love watching documentaries on plant-based diets, just last weekend i went to the screening of Vegucated which was great!
In the past year or so I have had a newfound appreciation and love for music and live shows. Last year I frequented quite a few festivals. Florence + the Machine is my favorite band, Cold War Kids and SBTRKT are great too.
I love living by the water, being technologically disconnected at times and going on adventures.

I'm not your typical jock. I like taking a thought to it's logical conclusion & then investigating how that should affect my life. Often, I then make changes. If I can't (and that's never due to a lack of self-discipline-- a got heaps!), I make PLANS to make those changes. One of those changes is to start living off of the land... to try to gain some independence from this warped system that is so material & phony money-centered. Family & spiritual things ought to be our focus, simplicity our motto. I've always been an outdoors kind of person... many-sided with a rich soul & varied interests. I don't even know another vegetarian. I've been a vegetarian all my adult life. My degree is in Psychology, however, I read constantly and I'm interested in a broad range of subjects. My favorite artist is Pablo Picasso and I have many prints of his work. My favorite architect is Frank Lloyd Wright. I play my acoustic guitar most every day. I bicycle for exercise. I live on a lake with ducks and egrets and cranes. And even a Great Blue Heron once. Right now I'm listening to Roy Orbison and his voice is so incredible and powerful. I never watch sports (but I do watch some of the Olympics). I have seen an opera (Romeo and Juliet) but I refuse to go again. (Lets be clear about that). Otherwise, I might be interested in doing just about anything (I used to own a company that manufactured hang-gliders and I also ran a flight training school). I want to go to that restuarant in downtown Houston where there are no signs and you just knock on the door.
