The ingredients, while sometimes a bit unusual, are not particularly exotic, but the combinations are unusual. I'm like that. Characteristics you've heard of, but don't expect to find in the same person. From the heart of rural Appalachia, three Ivy League degrees, one-time motorcycle bum, Zen Buddhist, marketing consultant. For many years I was Mr. Mom. My step-daughter lives with me when she's not off to college. At present I'm working too much, due to involvement in an entrepreneurial venture in addition to my regular business, but I'm making improvement in getting my work/life balance back in order. If you're familiar with Myers-Briggs, I'm INTJ, the rarest of all personality types. Thinking different is like breathing.

My story doesn't come across well in 1050 characters. It's non-linear, like a Wong Kar-wai flick or a Roberto Bolaño novel. Between high school and receiving my Masters, I studied sculpture, philosophy, African studies and French literature and film. After school I worked as a policy analyst for Eliot Spitzer (please, I've heard all the jokes by now). Now I'm a social media marketing director. So, yes, I went from Art to Descartes to social media. Trust me, the story makes sense once you've had a few stiff drinks. Cliche time: I love to travel. Seriously though, I really do, and I'm lucky to work in a field that affords me a lot of travel time. Sometimes I even get to expense my trips (although it usually means I have to work too). I love languages and can speak French and Spanish. Some of my favorite cities so far are Seoul, Amsterdam, Florence, Paris, Mexico City, Buenos Aires and Fez. Still I'm a Brooklyn boy at heart and, in many ways, a typical New Yorker.

It seems to have changed and can date without feeling that I am violating some vows that I must have taken in my sleep. I guess those vows were from the heavens. In any case they have left and I want to play. I have many interests including writing, hiking, outdoors, travel (I spent 5 years backpacking in Asia), animals, MENSA, conversation, people and most of all play. I just bought a new toy. The 475 HP supercharged one in the photo. It gets 38 mpg believe it or not! Before that I walked and took buses for 7 years so I feel no guilt. My bits and pieces all work quite well.

I love being outside, be it in the woods, up a hill or through fields, walking my dog and other good company. I love going to festivals - I usually work a few a year. Two things I really dont like are the Daily Mail and fox hunting! Im passionate about sustainability, gowing my own food, herbs, making my own incense. I'm a fairly quiet guy who cares about the world and enjoys a simple life - walking my dog, camping, growing my own veg and having a pint in my local. I love the countryside and being close to nature and I am interested in learning about the world and people. Musically, Im quite diverse (I think!). At the moment Im listening to Frank Turner, Carter USM, Flogging Molly, Kate Rusby, and others - so anything from indie, to metal, to beardy folk! Whilts I enjoy being outside and gardening; its also good to get out and meet people and have nights out in a good pub, maybe with some live music. Im getting to know Bristol a little better and there seems loads to do there!

Self-employed, hardcore vegetarian, not much of a health freak, a bit of a bad boy with a twisted sense of humor. I am immature, funny, a bit demented and have an appreciation for sarcasm. Traveling is what I like doing when I can. Discovering new vegetarian restaurants, music events, rock, jazz and reggae. I like to go out dancing, but need formal dancing lessons. I practice an intense style of Ti Chi, hike and yoga, riding my bicycle around town and especially the beach/bluffs. Comedy club and Foreign/avant garde movies,etc. On a physical level, even though I am balding and have way to much gray hair, my appearance is somewhat younger due to the fact that I keep slender and fit. Having been raised in Orange County, my goal is trying not to be so white. Or should I say "that kind of white".
